Day One Under Our Belts

Parked and safe!

I was going to title this "Day One...No Disasters" but realized that the day isn't over yet.  Best not to get too cocky.  After 422 miles, we did make it to Knoxville where we are now laid up in a Quality Inn.  The ride down was uneventful except that it was cold in the morning(for me anyway) and then hot in the afternoon.  Layers just kept coming off during the day.  We did witness some recent tornado damage near Abington that was impressive if not in scope, then at least in absolute destruction.  Tomorrow we head down to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  I expect what we saw in Abington will be dwarfed by what we see there.  Until then...

P.S.  As we're checking into the hotel, "The Doctors" was on the television.  They were discussing penis enlargement procedures.  How uncomfortable was that with the lone female desk clerk?
